    As Chairman of the Board, Mr. Sarraf is primarily responsible for the activities of the Board and its Committees.
    As Chairman of the Board, Mr. Sarraf is primarily responsible for the activities of the Board and its Committees. These entail ensuring that the Board discharges its duties; determining the agenda of the Board meetings, consulting with external advisors, and guaranteeing that Committees function properly, among other duties. Mr. Sarraf also acts as the spokesperson for the Board. Prior to becoming Chairman, Mr. Sarraf was CEO of the company for over three decades, pioneering and overseeing the Group’s growth and expansion. He is also currently President of the Union of Mediterranean Confederation of Enterprises; the Chairman of the Lebanese-Russian Council; and Honorary Consul of the Russian Federation of Lebanon.

    Mr. Sarraf oversees Malia Group’s industrial investments and Cosmaline’s Research and Development function. He holds a Doctorate in Pharmacy from the Université de Lausanne – Switzerland. Mr. Sarraf is Member of the Board of Trustees of the Lebanese-German University (LGU) and Vice President of the School of Industrial and Mechanical Engineering Advisory Council at the Lebanese American University (LAU).

    H.E. Mr. Nahas brings exceptional expertise in finance and investment, entrepreneurship and business development, and political and legal affairs, to the matters brought before the Board. A former Lebanese Minister of Economy and Trade (2011-2014) and Chief Counsellor to Prime Minister Najib Mikati (2005), he is the founder of business development firm EDAFI Value Partners which focuses on managing private equity investments in FMCG, construction materials, and clean energy in the MENA. He has held previously the positions of CEO of Ciment de Sibline and CEO of Amiantit Jordan, a leading manufacturing plant. H.E. Mr. Nicholas Nahas was recently elected as Member of the Lebanese Parliament (2018).

Formerly an Advisor to the President of the Republic of Lebanon and a Senior Advisor to the President of the Lebanese Council of Ministers, Dr. Karam is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of AstroBank - Cyprus,  a Member of the Board of several companies and investment and commercial banks, as well as holding the position of Vice Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce. He also has held the position of Chairman and General Manager of BLC Bank and BLC Finance in Lebanon and Vice Chairman of Merrill Lynch SAM in Monaco.

Since 2014, he has held the position of CEO of Firmenich, the world’s largest privately-owned fragrance and flavor company. Prior to working with Firmenich, Mr. Ghostine spent 21 years with Diageo where he managed the company’s business in the US, Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia while also living and working across these four continents. Mr. Ghostine currently resides in Geneva, Switzerland.

    Mrs. Chehab has held previously the position of Ch. Sarraf & Co.’s General Manager, leading the acquisition of new agencies and ensuring top-and bottom-lines growth year on year. Beginning her career in different job functions at Malia Group in Sales and Marketing, Procurement and Finance, she championed several initiatives related to talent acquisition and people development when she was the Group’s Human Resources Manager. Mrs. Chehab also led the establishment of Syrmadi, Malia Group’s distribution company in Syria. She is Founding Board Member of the Jean & Charlotte Sarraf Foundation and the Family Business Network - Levant Chapter and Vice President of GS1 Lebanon. Mrs. Chehab holds an MBA from ESSEC and a BA in Economics.

    Mr. Chemaly has held previously the post of Senior Counsel at Bank Audi, a major regional bank, and has worked for Technip France Abu Dhabi, an international oil and gas engineering company, handling all legal and human resources matters for site-based employees. He is a speaker on Law and Governance. Mr. Chemaly is a graduate in Law from the Saint Joseph University, holds a Master’s Degree in Public International Law from Université Paris 5 – René Descartes and a Corporate Finance Diploma from the University of Sussex, UK.
